What is Macroeconomics?

What is Macroeconomics? or What do you mean by Macroeconomics? or Define Macroeconomics.

The term 'Macro' came from Greek language 'Makros' which means 'Large'.
Macroeconomics is a branch of the economics field that studies how the aggregate economy behave. In macroeconomics, different events are thoroughly examined such as inflation, price level, national income, rate of growth etc.
According to Shapiro,"Macroeconomics deals with the functioning of the economy as a whole."
At last, we can say that macroeconomics is a branch of economics dealing with the performance, structure, behavior and decision-making of an economy as a whole.
